History

The Edmonton Housing Research Corporation is a land development and new housing research company with over 40 years of expertise in the land development and new housing industry in Edmonton, Alberta.

Land Development and Single Family, Duplex and Townhouse Construction

EHRC provides in depth analysis of all land development servicing, single family and duplex housing starts, forecasted servicing and starts and serviced lot pricing. EHRC publishes quarterly reports on the new housing activity and lot servicing for the City of Edmonton and Surrounding Communities.  Various customized reports are available including market analysis, years of supply, market absorption comparisons and lot pricing. The Edmonton Housing Research Corporation provides consulting services and reports to developers, new home builders, financial institutions and government. The reports allow users to look at relative information on a neighbourhood by neighborhood bases, single family vs. duplex (both vacant lots and housing starts), quadrant, city, town or developer. Lot pricing for newly serviced lots by stage, zoning, features, average price and price per front foot.

Quarterly reports are available for purchase individually or by subscription.

Multi-Family Housing – Condominium and Freehold

EHRC publishes a comprehensive overview semi-annually of new multiple dwelling activity across the Capital region. This report highlights the results of an extensive EHRC survey of new multi-family projects currently being marketed in the Edmonton area. The survey includes high-rise (concrete) and medium/low-rise apartments, townhomes and duplex condominiums as well as freehold semi-detached (duplex) and townhomes.

The multi-family reports includes information on the following areas:
• Starts and Sales, Inventory, Unit Sizes and Pricing, and Absorption Rates.

Researchers 

 

Dave LaRose

Dave began his career in the land development industry in 1981 and since that time has developed and marketed residential communities throughout the Edmonton Region. In 1997 he began to provide research services to the developers and home builders in Edmonton and in 2010 took over what is now the Edmonton Housing Research Corporation from Meindert Doesburg. The combined research data currently covers more than 37 years of housing and development activity in the Edmonton Region.


Bruce Angus

Bruce has spent over thirty years in the new home industry in the Edmonton area working with several of the major builders in the market place. His background is sales, sales management, trainer and customer relations Bruce has experience in both single and multi-family projects and has been involved in a variety of CHBA committees.
